Overview
Cactus Mud Pit Unions provide a quick-disconnect connection for drilling mud tanks and mud-system piping. They are interchangeable with Kemper hammer seal unions of the same nominal size and connection configuration. Tightening the threaded nut compresses an O-ring around the outside diameter of the connecting pipe, creating a dependable seal while accommodating normal tank-to-pipe alignment variation during rig setup. Cactus offers this hammer union in standard-service or NACE material configurations for applicable sour-service requirements.
